Out in the Open (Browerton University Book 1)

Out in the Open - A.J. Truman 3.5 stars. This book was similar to Social Skills by Sara Alva, which I loved. I'm such a sucker for the geeky/nerdy guy hooking up with the in the closet jock/popular guy. I liked the growth of both MCs in this one, esp. when Ethan stood up to Preston at the end. I was wondering if Preston was going to end up being a d-bag or if he was going to be used to make Greg jealous. Glad he got what was coming to him!

My only complaints are that I wish Ethan wouldn't have texted Greg after the blow-up, and I'd have liked him not to think/worry about the situation as much as he did because I did kind of feel like he was that needy girl (yes I'm saying girl because it's usually in mf books where the female MC just can't let go even though the guy was a jerk and told her off). I know Ethan was just trying to be friendly and whatever when Greg's dad showed up on campus, but I felt he was pushing too hard. I did love the bit of humor at the end with Greg's phone call to his parents, who love Ethan. I also would have liked some of the story from Greg's POV.

That being said, I'm looking forward to the next book.
