I would probably have given this book 4 or 4.5 stars, but as an animal lover I couldn't rate it that high because of the two dogs that were killed in this book. Both were unnecessary, but the second was too much for me. I loved the rest of the story with Kasey's prejudice coming back to bite him in the a$$. Seth was adorable, and I felt badly for him. He has been through so much in his young life, and while I get why he was cautious, I just wanted to scream at him to let Kasey in and be happy. I am glad he made Kasey work for it though!
