It wasn't a bad story, but I didn't like the story was being told from Charlie's POV, but then his thoughts were thrown into the story in italics at random points, and what was with all the exclamation points?! The writing style just seemed a little weird to me, and I became especially lost during the double date part of the story. I couldn't understand why Charlie was talking to Tom's date instead of his own, and why Charlie's date would have wanted to see him again if he was ignoring her and talking to Tom's date the whole time? Maybe the girl's names just got mixed up during that part of the story, or maybe I was confused as to which girl was which. All I know is I was confused and kept re-reading parts of the double date scene because I was not understanding it at all.
